Clarks Shoes: More Information

James and Cyrus Clark were the founders of the Clarks shoes company back in 1825(Somerset, England UK).Initially, they were selling only sheepskin slippers, but since then, their company has grown and expanded to include a very wide range of foot wear for men, for women and even for children. They also have dress shoes, sandals and boots. Given the information on their company website, their main goal or objective is to provide "High quality, comfortable and stylish foot wear for nearly all if not all occasions and events in any active person(s) life." They use leather as the main component of most of their shoes, however, the type or kind of leather usually varies from one type of shoe to another.Clarks shoes come in a wide variety of designs and styles and they are all made using the very best of materials.

Clarks shoes have long been a common and popular brand, which carries a wide variety of leather, nubuck and suede materials that normally create very high quality foot wear.

Clarks are usually made of heavy but durable materials, thus they more often than not trap-in moisture inside them and provide no or little ventilation. This in turn may cause your feet to perspire while you are wearing them, this may also allow the foot odor to get trapped inside the shoe clarks. For you to get the most from your footwear, you must or you should keep the interior or the inside of the clarks shoes clean and odor free.

How to clean your Clarks shoes

To clean the exterior of your clarks shoes, you can rub a clean dry cloth slowly across the exterior of your shoe. After that, follow up with a damp cloth and set your clarks shoes to dry. Ensure it is not on direct heat or sunlight. In case your shoes are made from aniline leather, dab a clean and dry cloth into a shoe cream polish or if they are made from waxed or oiled leather, you can use a shoe polishing wax.You need to lightly and slowly apply the appropriate cleaning agent to the exterior of your shoe and then buff your shoe vigorously til it shines.

To clean the inside of your clarks shoes, you need to sprinkle a heavy coat of the baking soda to the inside of your shoes, then tap your shoes and tilt them from side to side so as to coat both the base of the shoe's insole and the interior sides of your shoes. You need to let the baking-soda stay in your shoes over the night and in the morning you need to hold the shoes upside down over a trash can and tap the baking soda out of them.

If the baking soda doesn't clean your shoe clarks to your liking. You can spray a light mist of vinegar over your shoes insides and then let them air dry out for one hour or so. This normally removes both the foot odor and kill any bacteria that might be present.
